Candon City successfully hosted the 2024 National Teachers’ Month Kick-off Program.
Candon City made history this year by hosting the 2024 National Teachers’ Month (NTM) Kick-off Program for the first time. The event drew a crowd of over 4,000 teachers and education stakeholders from across the country, alongside top DepEd officials.
City Mayor Eric Singson, along with city council members, Deputy Speaker Kristine Singson-Meehan, Senior Provincial Board Member Ericson Singson representing Ilocos Sur Governor Jerry Singson, and town mayors from the second district of Ilocos Sur, extended a warm welcome to the honored participants and guests. This momentous and historic occasion highlighted Candon City’s commitment to education and its role as a center for learning and development in southern Ilocos Sur.
