A misplaced rope keyed the prevention of possible theft in the city.
Candon City Chief of Police P/Supt. Richmund Tadina said that personnel from the City Engineering office saw a lengthy rope with most part was pulled inside the drainage canal they were clearing and cleaning along the southern portion of the city’s public market.
Upon receiving the information, Tadina immediately ordered his men to check it and were able to recover some of the digging tools including dug soils and a heavy jack.
“We were able to prevent possible crime,” Tadina said.
The chief of police said that in the area within the vicinity of the diggings is a stretch of establishments including a pawnshop.
“We continue to appeal to our people to report to suspicious actions or things happening and rest assured of our immediate actions,” Tadina said.
