City Mayor Eric Singson received a Plaque of Recognition awarded to Candon City by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP).
The plaque was formally presented to City Councilor Caren Joy Lozano and City Tourism Officer Rhodana Abrero, who accepted it on behalf of the city during the 92nd Founding Anniversary of the NHCP, held on 29 October 2025 at the Metropolitan Theater in Manila.
The celebration featured a concert of beautiful Kapampangan music and gathered friends, partners, and fellow advocates of Philippine history and heritage. Aside from the plaque, a bust of National Hero Dr. Josรฉ Rizal was also presented to Mayor Singson as a token of appreciation.
During the event, the NHCP honored key partners from national and local government units, non-government organizations, and educational institutions for their valuable contributions to programs and projects promoting Philippine history and cultural heritage preservation.
