The 3rd Leg of the 2025 Philippine Archery Cup concluded successfully on October 5, 2025, marking a historic milestone for Candon City as it hosted a national leg of this prestigious tournament for the very first time.
Under the leadership of City Mayor Eric D. Singson, and with the full support of the Philippine Sports Commission, the week-long event brought together over 400 archers from all over the country, competing in various categories including Recurve, Compound, Barebow, and Para-Archery. The tournament not only showcased athletic talent but also highlighted Candonโs growing role as a hub for national sports development and community engagement.
The closing and awarding ceremonies were attended by City Mayor Eric D. Singson, World Archery Philippines (WAP) President Bing Reaport, WAP Secretary George Garcia, Secretary General Nino Sinco, and Provincial Board Member and Metro Candon Archery Club President Ericson Singson,
Also in strong support were Judge Claire Singson, National Tobacco Administration (NTA) Director Ray Elaydo, and former Provincial Board Member Mildred Elaydo.
