ABOUT THE SERVICE: The City Social Welfare & Development Office provides financial assistance to individuals and families who are in extremely difficult situation and have in adequate resources.

To ensure its effectiveness, it involves social preparation/mobilization of beneficiaries and the community.

ISSUANCE OF SENIOR CITIZEN’S IDENTIFICATION CARD (ID)


ABOUT THE SERVICE: REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7432 – An act to maximize the contribution of Senior Citizens to nation building, grant benefits and special privileges and for other purposes. The issuance of ID is mandated by the Senior Citizen’s Act.

ABOUT THE SERVICE: A solicitation permit from CSWDO is needed to organized solicitation programs such as selling raffle tickets and solicitation envelopes from a legitimate organization or barangay associations within the city.

ABOUT THE SERVICE: The program is extended to any small enterprises that are qualified to be granted with market loan.

ABOUT THE SERVICE: A Certificate of Indigency is required by concerned agencies before it can accept program beneficiaries.

ABOUT THE SERVICE: Before a beneficiary can avail of any assistance from national agencies concerned; he/she is required to secure a Social Case Study Report or referral letter from the CSWDO.

ASSIST WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN DIFFICULT CIRCUMSTANCES SUCH AS RAPE, PHYSICALLY AND EMOTIONALLY- ABUSED


ABOUT THE SERVICE: Welfare Program – refers to the provision of social welfare services to disadvantaged women ages 18-59 to promote their welfare with specific attention to the prevention and/or eradication of their exploitation in any form as well as the promotion of skills for employment and self-actualization. The CSWDO assists children and youth whose basic needs have been deliberately unattended to by their parents or guardians, or have been victims of any form of child abuse.

ABOUT THE SERVICE: Disaster Relief this refers to the provision of timely and appropriate assistance to help alleviate the conditions/situations of distressed/displaced individuals/families and those who are victims of disaster and are in need of food, clothing, temporary shelter, emotional and moral support, thru efficient and effective management of evaluation center/institution of Ready-to Eat/mass feeding, crisis debriefing sessions and provision of financial/material assistance.
