Inaugurations of several projects highlighted the birthday bash of City Mayor Ericson Singson.
City Mayor Singson led other city officials, department heads and staff in the blessing and inauguration of the newly renovated Barangay Hall in barangay Paras, the main road of barangay Paypayad, the farm to market roads in Paratong, Calongbuyan and Parioc Primero respectively, the covered court pavement of barangay Darapidap and barangay hall of Bagani Campo.
After the inauguration, a concelebrated mass was done followed by a short program and lunch.
In his birthday message, City Mayor Singson said, “I would like to thank God for his blessings. I wish I will continue to be showered with blessings and his guidance as I continue leading my city.”
He added that he enjoined all stakeholders to help him in his quest to continue leveling up the standard of living of every Candonian.
“I asked that the best gift to him from the people of Candon is their continued support and cooperation,” he said.
City Mayor Singson pointed out the major projects done and on the works like the recently inaugurated by-pass road (Phase I) while the Phase II is currently being completed and slated to be done at the end of the year or first quarter of 2018.
He said that the by-pass road is to decongest traffic at the central district of the city and also opens huge business opportunities.
“The by-pass road will be a highway of opportunities for business and commerce,” City Mayor Singson said.
More so, along the area is the city’s sports coliseum which is currently being constructed.
The 5,000 seating capacity modern sports arena is expected to attract businesses and opens up more opportunities.
